Sinatra hatte "My Ideal" am Tag zuvor in seiner anderen Radiosendung "Your Hit Parade" zum ersten Mal gesungen. Sinatra sollte den Song nie im Studio aufnehmen.
"Night And Day" war einer der wichtigsten Songs in Sinatras Karriere. Er nahm ihn 1942 zum ersten Mal auf und sang ihn viele Male im Radio, Fernsehen und in Konzerten. Seine letzte Studio-Aufnahme stammt aus dem 1977 – mit einem "Disco"-Arrangement.
In dieser Sendung singt Frank Sinatra das erste Mal "White Christmas". Sinatra nahm den Song zuerst 1944 auf, dann wieder 1947 und schließlich noch einmal 1954.
Frank Sinatras Einleitung zu “White Christmas”:
"Poking around in the latest reports from overseas, Axel and I ran across an item that said of all the tunes popular with you guys, out there, Irving Berlin's 'White Christmas' was tops.
Well, that doesn't surprise me much, Joe, because there were so many really white Christmases in the past. Those blue, black early Christmas mornings, when we went kicking and puffing through the snow on our way to church. Those quiet white Christmas afternoons, sitting warm and comfortable with the folks, even some of the ones you only saw at Christmas time. We know you're waiting for some more like the ones we left off , Joe, and we're waiting, too. Where they really can be quiet and white again and you'll get a lump in your throat when someone says those words again ' peace on earth, goodwill toward men.' "

Die Sendung lief vom 24.10.1943 bis zum 26.12.1943 und einige tolle Songs aus dieser Sendung finden sich auf der V-Discs wieder. U.a.
