Informationen zum Album:
"The Summit in Concert" ist es - einen vernünftigen Preis vorrausgesetzt - schon optisch wert in der der Sammlung zu besitzen. Aufgenommen wurde das Konzert mit Sammy und Dean am 30.11.1962 im Villa Venice, Chicago, Illinois. Es gibt auch ein paar schöne Liner Notes von Billy Zehme (dem Autor von "Frank Sinatra. My Way oder die Kunst, einen Hut zu tragen"). Produziert im Sinatra-Label "ARTANIS" (einfach rückwärts lesen) von Tochter Tina.
Im Villa Venice dauerte das komplette Engagement übrigens vom 26.11. bis zum 02.12.1962, bei 16 Shows an 7 Tagen (!).
Von "Jazz Hour" wurde übrigens der 02.12.1962 veröffentlicht. Das Label brachte Teilr auf einer CD unter "The Clan in Chicago" (JH 1032) heraus.
At The Villa Venice, Chicago 1962 (Volume 1&2), ebenfalls aus dem "Jazz-Hour"-Label beinhaltet alle Sinatra-Songs vom 02.12.1962:
