"Nothing in Common" ist ein Lied, das 1958 von Sammy Cahn (Text) und Jimmy Van Heusen (Musik) geschrieben wurde. Es wurde ursprünglich für den Film “Paris Holiday” aus dem Jahr 1958 komponiert. Der Film, in dem Bob Hope, Fernandel, Anita Ekberg und Martha Hyer die Hauptrollen spielten, wurde von Gerd Oswald inszeniert. Das Lied wurde von Bob Hope und Martha Hyer gesungen, aber letztendlich aus dem Film geschnitten.

Zusammen mit Keely Smith nahm Sinatra den Song am 03.März 1958 in Hollywood auf. Das Arrangement schrieb Billy May und "Nothing in Common" wurde von Capitol als Single veröffentlicht. Seit 1987 ist der Song u.a. auf dem Capitol-Album "Come Dance With Me" oder "Complete Capitol Singles" zu finden.

The song "Nothing in Common" was penned in 1958 by Sammy Cahn, who wrote the lyrics, and Jimmy Van Heusen, who composed the music. It was initially created for the 1958 film "Paris Holiday", directed by Gerd Oswald and featuring a cast that included Bob Hope, Fernandel, Anita Ekberg, and Martha Hyer. The song was performed by Bob Hope and Martha Hyer, but was eventually omitted from the final cut of the film.

On March 3, 1958, Sinatra recorded the song in Hollywood, alongside Keely Smith. The arrangement was crafted by Billy May, and "Nothing in Common" was subsequently released as a single by Capitol Records.
