"It Happened in Monterey" wurde 1930 für den Bing Crosby Film "The King of Jazz" von Mabel Wayne (Musik) und Billy Rose (Text) geschrieben und erzählt von einer romantischen Begegnung in der kalifornischen Stadt Monterey.
