Die Oscar-Show von 1945 wurde über ABC-Radio vom Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood ausgestrahlt. Sinatra, Mervyn LeRoy und Frank Ross wurden für ihre Arbeit an „The House I Live In“ mit diesem besonderen Oscars ausgezeichnet. Frank war der Einzige, der auf die Bühne ging und den Oscar entgegennahm.
Frank sang nur nominierte Lieder bei den Zeremonien von 1946 und 1969. Es wurden 14 Songs aus den Filmen von 1945 nominiert. Sie wurden alle in einem Segment der Show gemacht. Dinah Shore, Dick Haymes, Kathryn Grayson und Sinatra sangen abwechselnd die Melodien. „It Might As Well Be Spring“ wurde mit dem Oscar ausgezeichnet.
